The Mall always looks weird without any flags.

London, November ‘19.
I stayed in west London last Fall while my wife attended a conference. Ate lots of good Indian food and drank with Poles in the nearby pubs. Currently wearing my Lonsdale shorts that I picked up from a discount retailer. Half the people in that shopping district had their faces covered, and it wasn’t because of covid.

Are you English? If so, there’s another English Oppo who lives in Oz, Rufant. I have a student from Australia who has English and American citizenship. Great kid. F riends of mine from Switzerland just moved to Australia.
I flew from Arizona to NYC to Dublin to London in the same “day”.
I grew up going to NYC in the summer and can navigate the city pretty easily. My wife and I had a twelve hour layover in New York so we headed into the city, grabbed some pizza, and walked around central park before heading out to Ireland.
Rented a Polo in Dublin during Our layover there and checked out some national parks before the hop over to London.
After my wife’s conference we headed back to Ireland (I’m part Irish and wanted to spend more time getting to know the place). Drove all over the island, going from Cobe all the way up to Derry.
Great trip. Feels surreal to think I did all that right now.
